PURPOSE

Everything starts with an idea. As urban designers and planners, we serve as the conduit for those ideas - in other words, we help "plant the seed". We work with communities of all sizes to extract and translate ideas into vision. Once a vision is established, we then work to develop an action plan to make the vision a reality.

As urban designers, our craft is in the design of public space. From placement, forms and facades of buildings to streets, sidewalks and plazas - design matters. Our goal is to create unique, timeless, and welcoming environments for people of all ages. 

As planners, our craft is in translation and preparation. First, we listen (community outreach) to the users of a place. Next, we translate (visualization) the needs and desires of a community. Finally, we prepare (action plan) for implementation.

Studio Seed's services include: neighborhood plans, corridor plans, transit-oriented development, opportunity site development scenarios, building prototypes, design guidelines and other design services.
